“the truth is I am 12 with every person I love”. Ooof. Yes.
My daughter is 12 and I’ve been really paying attention to her when she’s with her friends. Gosh, it’s that sweet spot, right? Riiiiiight before things shift. And you don’t know how damn special it is in when you’re in it.
I love your writing. There is always so much underneath your words.
I so align with this comment : I am with my sister and we are both permanently 12.
I do not have a sister. But I have so many 'sisters' who I behave like this with. It is such fun! One of my closest friends is Italian, from Parma, now lives in Berlin. We've had decades of being 12 - especially skiing! She is now a 12 year old mum of almost 18 year old twins.
I love that it's so easy to chuckle, be playful, have fun regardless of our number. It's all about the feeling inside. Forever a kid!
I love this piece, it is great writing. Also Italy is Miraculous!
Glad you reposed as I'd not read this before. Sibling magic. I used to be able to make my younger brother laugh in a crowded elevator with a look. Then I'd start laughing even harder.
Reading this instantly makes me want to be friends with you and your sister and to go traveling and remembering what it means to look around and feel miraculous! 🩵🩵🩵
Worth it just for the 1st video. What a lovable pair. Though the writing has awakened me on a sleepy Sunday. Thanks. She got the acting chops, but you got the legs 😎
I love that awe and wonder and the way you describe it as feeling 12. It’s the best feeling. Lovely piece.
Reading this made me tear up. In the best way.

Thank you so much. It’s so true. It would be hard to be really close to someone if I couldn’t be 12 at least some of the time.😍

It's just the best.
Love this so much. 😊❤️
Thanks Ollie!💕
